The hills are alive...
Yesterday we drove down to Austria to enjoy a last bit of summer weather. Our friends Muc und Almut knew of this lake in the mountains near Garmisch-Partenkirchen called Blindsee, which turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. The water was cold but very clear, the weather windy but warm. All in all it was a great time. We wish you all could have seen it first hand.

How does it feel to live in a place where everywhere you look is a photo-op???? It is SO beautiful. So glad you guys had the opportunity to go to the oxymoronishly named Blindsee.
How come when I go for a quick drive out of town I end up in the bleak deserts of Nevada and you get the epic landscapes of Austria! You guys look great!

Did you all have a boat out there? How far was it from Munich? We enjoyed our last swim at an ancient city pool in Pilsen. Abi got a certificate from my friend mary for graduating from first level and we all celebrated with the classic street snow cone eaten, of course, at the park in the dark!
Way to go, Abi!
Blindsee! What a great band name!
Did we mention already that Blindsee means "blind lake"?
Yes, but not in Americanrock English.
